NFL Week 4 Roundup

Welcome back to the Weekly Roundup. As always, we will be highlighting this past week’s injury report, top performers, underperformers, and surprise producers. There was no shortage of stunning storylines during Week 4 of the 2023 NFL Season, so let’s recap the action.

INJURY ROUNDUP

Justin Herbert (LAC) - Finger

  • Justin Herbert would miss a few plays in the Chargers Week 4 win to have a splint placed on his non-throwing hand. Herbert was able to return and will now have a full week to recover before his next start.

Austin Ekeler (LAC) - Ankle

  • Ekeler is dealing with a significant ankle injury that has kept him sidelined for three consecutive weeks. There is always optimism of a speedy recovery but several reports suggest Ekeler will be sidelined until Week 6, leaving Joshua Kelley to shoulder the workload.

Brandon Aiyuk (SF) - Shoulder

  • Aiyuk was able to shed his injury designation leading up to the 49ers Week 4 contest, rightfully reprising his role as the team’s top wideout.

Deebo Samuel (SF) - Rib/Knee

  • Samuel was banged up leading into the 49ers Week 4 game against the Cardinals and was heavily limited, earning zero targets in the game.

Elijah Mitchell (SF) - Knee

  • Elijah Mitchell was held out of the game with a knee injury that he suffered during practice.

Tre’Davious White (BUF) - Achilles

  • The injury report is usually reserved for offensive players but this is one of the most significant losses of the season thus far. The Bills star All-Pro corner suffered a torn Achilles in their resounding win over the Dolphins, ending the veterans season.

Mike Evans (TB) - Hamstring

  • Mike Evans suffered a hamstring injury in the Buccaneers Week 4 matchup against the Saints. Evans has a Week 5 bye on tap, giving the veteran wideout extra time to recoup before his next game.

Joe Burrow (CIN) - Calf

  • Burrow re-aggravated a lingering calf strain in Week 1 and has been struggling ever since.

Tee Higgins (CIN) - Rib(s)

  • Tee Higgins was reported to have suffered a fractured rib with further tests to be conducted this week to assess the extent of said injury. Higgins will undoubtedly be limited, if not absent, during the next few weeks.

Charlie Jones (CIN) - Thumb

  • The Bengals rookie return man was beginning to carve out a functioning role within the organization before being placed on injured reserve with a thumb injury.

Jimmy Garopollo (LV) - Head (Concussion)

  • Jimmy G played the entirety of the Raiders Week 3 loss to the Steelers but was unavailable for post-game questioning while being evaluated for a concussion. Garopollo was unable to suit up for Week 4, leaving rookie Aiden O’Connell as the starter.

Derek Carr (NO) - Shoulder

  • Derek Carr was originally expected to miss several weeks with an AC-joint sprain but was able to start for the Saints on Sunday. Unfortunately, this led to disparaging results.

Odell Beckham Jr. (BAL) - Ankle

  • The Ravens veteran wideout was unable to go in Week 3 and Week 4 despite positive reports on his injury designation. Beckham Jr. remains questionable for Week 5 but should be able to practice in a limited capacity.

Bryce Young (CAR) - Ankle

  • The Panthers' rookie quarterback is dealing with a minor ankle injury that kept him on the bench in Week 3 but managed to return as the starter in Week 4.

Miles Sanders (CAR) - Groin

  • Miles Sanders was able to suit up for the Panthers Week 4 game but was largely ineffective as he continues to deal with a nagging groin injury. Sanders' status should continue to be monitored leading up to Week 5.

David Montgomery (DET) - Quadricep

  • David Montgomery was forced out of the Lions Week 2 loss to the Seahawks with a quad injury. The veteran running back was expected to miss several weeks in recovery but managed to return in Week 4 after missing just one contest.

Saquon Barkley (NYG) - Ankle

  • Managers feared the worst when Barkley left the game with a nasty-looking ankle injury. Fortunately, the injury is not severe although Barkley may miss a few games while recovering. Gary Brightwell and Matt Breida appear to be the early favorites to lead the running back committee.

Kenny Pickett (PIT) - Knee

  • Kenny Pickett was feared to suffer a season-ending knee injury in Week 4. Fortunately, it appears as if the injury is not as significant as previously assumed and the second-year quarterback may not miss any time.

Pat Freiermuth (PIT) - Hamstring

  • The Steelers star tight end suffered a hamstring injury in the Steelers Week 4 loss and will likely miss at least one game in recovery.

Diontae Johnson (PIT) - Hamstring

  • Diontae Johnson remains sidelined with no timetable for return.

Javonte Williams (DEN) - Hip

  • Javonte Williams was forced to exit the Broncos' Week 4 win over the Bears with a hip injury that could keep him sidelined for several weeks. Jaleel McLaughlin will be a hot waiver wire addition if Williams misses extended time.

WEEKLY WEIGH-IN

Arizona Cardinals: Back on Tanking Track

  • The Cardinals are back on track toward their 2023 tank, losing a lopsided divisional matchup to the overpowering 49ers.

  • Josh Dobbs continues to prove his utility as the Cardinals' starter despite a perceivably horrendous defensive matchup.

  • James Conner is a must-start fantasy asset until further notice. His volume is unquestioned and his efficiency continues to improve despite his age and offensive situation.

  • Marquise Brown has been quietly productive and consistent this season, posting three consecutive games with at least 16.5 PPR points. Brown is now averaging 14.95 PPR points per game as the WR17 Overall.

Atlanta Falcons: Lost in London

  • Arthur Smith has called more plays in three tight end sets than three wide receiver sets this season.

  • Drake London and Mack Hollins remain the only two wide receivers to have more than 50.0% of the team’s total snaps.

  • London found the back of the endzone for the second time this season but is still averaging just 31.5 yards per game.

  • Jonnu Smith is still running more routes with a higher snap percentage than Kyle Pitts.

  • Desmond Ridder is a replacement-level bridge quarterback with little to no confidence as a passer. Ridder threw two interceptions while getting sacked three times in an uninspiring performance.

  • The only positive takeaway from the Falcons this week is that Bijan Robinson has certainly come as advertised. The star rookie running back made several highlight plays en route to a stunning fantasy performance, catching five of five targets for 32 yards with 105 yards rushing on just 14 carries (7.5 YPC).

Baltimore Ravens: Big Truzz Bounces Back

  • Lamar Jackson fumbled three times and Kenyan Drake fumbled once (two lost) as the Ravens dropped a close game to the Gardner Minshew-led Colts in Week 3.

  • Jackson bounced back in a big way in Week 4, disarming a stout Browns defense with four total touchdowns (2 Passing, 2 Rushing).

  • Mark Andrews joined Jackson in the positive regression department, catching all five of his team-leading targets for 80 yards and two touchdowns.

Buffalo Bills: UnPHINished Business

  • The Bills dominated the Dolphins’ league-leading offense while Josh Allen and company ripped through the defense at ease.

  • Allen tallied five total touchdowns (4 Passing, 1 Rushing), completing 21/25 pass attempts for 320 yards with 17 yards rushing.

  • Stefon Diggs took advantage of a weak coverage assignment, posting six catches on seven targets for 120 yards and three touchdowns.

  • Tua Tagovailoa had been sacked only two times over three weeks. The Bills' defense wreaked havoc on their opposing quarterback, racking up four sacks, nine hurries, and seven quarterback hits.

Carolina Panthers: Young and Dumb

  • Bryce Young returned to action after missing just one week with an ankle injury. The rookie quarterback was held to just 204 passing yards with no touchdowns, absorbing five sacks as his offensive line did little to help the situation.

  • The Panthers' offensive play calling has been frustratingly and unnecessarily remedial with Young under center this season. They currently lead the league in screen pass percentage while Young boasts a lowly Yards Per Attempt of 4.2 (32nd).

  • Chuba Hubbard saw more carries (14) than Miles Sanders (13) as the latter dealt with a nagging groin injury.

  • The offense was unable to mount a single touchdown drive, relying on a 99-yard interception return and two field goals as their source of scoring.

Chicago Bears: Fields of Dreams

  • Justin Fields took advantage of a laughably soft Broncos defense, completing 16 of 16 pass attempts before his first incompletion.

  • Fields managed a career-high 335 passing yards and four touchdowns but ultimately cost the Bears a win with an untimely interception to Broncos defensive back Kareem Jackson that sealed the comeback win for his opponents.

  • The Bears have lost 14 consecutive regular season games with Matt Eberflus as the coach and Fields under center.

Cincinnati Bengals: Smokin’ Joe a Smoldering Mess

  • The Bengals' offensive woes continued as they mustered a mere three points against a middling Titans squad.

  • Joe Burrow has been a shell of his former self as he works through a calf injury. Per NFL Rookie Watch, Burrow has a lower passer rating than Zach Wilson and Desmond Ridder, fewer passing yards than Joshua Dobbs and Justin Fields, and a lower completion percentage than every other NFL quarterback not named Anthony Richards or Jordan Love.

  • Burrow has completed 87/151 attempts this season (57.6%) with a QB rating of 69.1 and is averaging just 182.0 yards per game.

  • The Bengals star quarterback has only two touchdowns with three turnovers (2 Interceptions, 1 Fumble) while being sacked eight times this season.

  • The Bengals have scored just three offensive touchdowns this season, ranked dead last amongst all 32 NFL teams.

  • Tee Higgins is expected to miss time with a rib fracture, further limiting Burrows’ weapons on this listless and lifeless offense.

Cleveland Browns: DTR = Don’t Throw, Run.

  • Dorian Thompson-Robinson got his first NFL start in Week 4 as the fifth-round rookie quarterback filled in for an injured Deshaun Watson.

  • The first-year field general looked absolutely lost against the Ravens' defense, throwing for 121 yards on 19/36 attempts with three interceptions.

  • The Browns' entire offense struggled sans Watson, tallying just one field goal against their division rivals.

Dallas Cowboys: Defensive Excellence

  • The Cowboys' defense allowed 10 total points through the first two weeks of the NFL season.

  • Then, in Week 3, they looked wholly incompetent against a bottom-tier Cardinals offense, allowing 222 rushing yards and 28 points.

  • A bounceback was inevitable but the resounding method in which they did was beyond excellent, leading the team to a 38-3 win over the Patriots.

  • The Cowboys allowed just three points and 253 total yards (200 Passing, 53 Rushing) to the Patriots, forcing three sacks, three turnovers (2 Interceptions, 1 Fumble Recovery), and two defensive touchdowns.

Denver Broncos: Broncos Country Comeback

  • The Broncos were on the wrong side of a historic offensive performance in Week 3 as the Dolphins ran up the score.

  • Russell Wilson and company were only able to muster 20 points of total offense in the face of a 70-point outing from the Dolphins.

  • Week 4 appeared as if the Broncos would be the league’s laughing stock once again as they allowed Justin Fields and a bottom-feeding Bears offense to pass at will.

  • Fortunately, a late 28-7 third-quarter comeback would ensure, culminating in a game-sealing interception on the Bears final possession.

  • Wilson was nearly flawless in the second half, rallying to lead the Broncos to a much-needed win with 21/28 completions for 223 yards and three touchdowns.

  • Javonte Williams’ suffered a hip injury, paving the way for Jaleel McLaughlin to lead the team in rushing.

Detroit Lions: Full Monty

  • David Montgomery was a last-minute game-time decision in Week 4, ultimately suiting up for the Lions as they faced off against the Packers in a battle between bitter NFC North division rivals.

  • Montgomery plowed through the Packers' defense despite barely making the active list. The veteran running back tallied 121 yards on 32 rush attempts with 20 yards on two receptions, adding three rushing scores.

  • Dan Campbell’s refusal to utilize Jahmyr Gibbs as the backfield leader is admittedly frustrating but not overly concerning for the rookie as he still ranks 7th amongst all running backs in combined rush percentage and target share.

  • Sam LaPorta’s historic pace of five or more receptions per contest ended in Week 4. The rookie tight end still managed a solid 56 yards on four catches and five targets.

Green Bay Packers: Love Lost

  • Jordan Love is amongst the most wildly inaccurate quarterbacks in the NFL, completing just 56.1% of his total passes this season with a QB Rating of 88.0. The first-year starter/fourth-year player has supplemented his lack of efficiency with an impressive 10 total touchdowns (8 Passing, 2 Rushing) and only three interceptions this season.

  • Unfortunately, two of those three interceptions came in Week 4 against the Lions as the Packers dropped a tough loss to their division rivals.

  • Rookie wide receiver Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs were swapping weeks as the team’s leading pass catcher sans Christian Watson.

  • In Week 2, Reed led the team in targets (8), collecting four catches for 37 yards and two touchdowns.

  • Week 3 was all Doubs as the second-year wideout hauled in five of his team-high 12 targets for 72 yards and one touchdown.

  • Watson finally returned to action in Week 4 but fellow second-year wideout Doubs stole the show.

  • Doubs had a team-high 13 targets, collecting nine receptions for 95 yards despite the Packers having a fully healthy lineup of starters.

  • Aaron Jones also returned to gameplay in Week 4 but the Packers rushing attack was bottled up to the tune of a menial 27 total yards (Jones: 18 Yards, Dillon: 11 Yards, Love: -2 Yards).

Houston Texans: Stroud Making Strides

  • C.J. Stroud is off to a historic start as a first-year quarterback. Only three quarterbacks in NFL history have started their first four games with more than 1,200 total passing yards. Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, C.J. Stroud.

  • The Rookie is also only the second quarterback in history to have no interceptions through his first four starts while averaging more than 30 pass attempts per game.

  • Stroud is currently on pace to break the rookie passing yards record by over 700 yards, posting 1212 yards with a 62.3% completion rating and six touchdowns.

  • The Texans' new franchise quarterback is also upholding fantasy-relevant seasons from three different wide receivers as Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and Robert Woods continue to exceed scoring projections.

Indianapolis Colts: Face of the Franchise

  • Anthony Richardson may have walked away with the loss but the first-round rookie quarterback has quickly established himself as a franchise-altering talent with unmatched athleticism and a rapidly developing passing prowess.

  • Zack Moss had two consecutive RB1 outings under his belt in his first two starts as the Colts' leading running back. Moss followed up a 107-yard outing in Week 2 with 155 scrimmage yards and one touchdown in Week 3.

  • Moss tallied just 70 yards on 18 carries in Week 4 but should still be considered a high-quality fantasy asset against positive matchups for as long as he maintains the starting gig.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Home Away From Home

  • The Jaguars offense had lost all semblance of identity, scoring just 23 points combined in Week 2 and Week 3.

  • A seemingly much-needed vacation to their home away from home (London, England) was an excellent bounce-back point for the struggling offense.

  • The Jaguars whipped the Falcons on both sides of the ball, walking away with a 23-7 win.

  • Christian Kirk remains locked in as the top wide receiver, leading the team in opportunities and production over the last three games.

  • Ridley’s WR1 performance in Week 1 feels increasingly distant as he continues to play second-fiddle to Kir.

Kansas City Chiefs: Too Close for Comfort

  • The Chiefs barely eked out a 23-20 victory over a dysfunctional Jets squad as Mahomes tossed two interceptions and fumbled once.

  • Mahomes also threw his 200th career passing touchdown, becoming the fastest player (84 Games Played) in NFL history to achieve the feat.

  • The Chiefs star quarterback completed 18/30 passes for 203 yards with one touchdown, adding 51 rushing yards on seven carries.

  • Isaih Pacheco had a career game, rushing for 115 yards and one touchdown on 20 attempts while securing all three of his targets for an additional 43 yards (158 Scrimmage Yards).

Las Vegas Raiders: Rumblin’, Bumblin’, Stumblin’, Fumblin’

  • Jimmy Garappolo was held out of the contest after suffering a concussion in Week 3 despite playing the entirety of that matchup.

  • Rookie quarterback Aiden O’Connell got the start, at which he was entirely unprepared and incapable of managing.

  • O’Connell was sacked seven times (six times by Khalil Mack), fumbling three times on three consecutive drives while also throwing one interception.

  • Josh Jacobs led the team in rushing (58 Yards, 1 Touchdown) and receiving (8 Receptions/81 Yards) in Week 4.

  • Davante Adams left the game briefly to be checked out for a shoulder injury but would eventually return. Adams turned his team-high 13 targets in eight receptions for 75 yards.

Los Angeles Chargers: Mack Attack

  • Khalil Mack turned back time, posting his second six-sack game of his career. Mack now has 90.5 career sacks in 138 games played.

  • Justin Herbert exited briefly to be evaluated for a nasty broken finger on his non-throwing hand. Herbert is not expected to miss any games as the Chargers are set to take their bye in Week 5.

  • Herbert accounted for all three of the team’s offensive touchdowns, passing for one and rushing for two.

  • Josh Palmer led the Chargers in receiving yards in his first start of the season, filling in for Mike Williams who will end his year on injured reserve.

  • Palmer’s outburst further solidifies the lack of confidence the organization has in first-round rookie wideout Quentin Johnston.

Los Angeles Rams: Puka Calls Game

  • Rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua is, without exaggeration, off to the greatest start to a wide receiver’s career in NFL history.

  • Nacua now owns the record for most receptions (39) and targets (52) by any wide receiver in their first four games.

  • The rookie currently leads the NFL in receptions and is second behind only Justin Jefferson for league-leader in receiving yards (501).

  • Nacua finished Week 4 as the Rams’ weekly leader in receptions (nine) and receiving yards (163) while catching the game-winning touchdown pass in overtime which just so happened to be the first touchdown of his career.

  • Kyren Williams continues to find the end zone at a frenetic pace and now has six touchdowns (5 Rushing, 1 Receiving) over his last four games including three multi-touchdown performances.

Miami Dolphins: History Doesn’t Repeat

  • The Dolphins scored 70 points against the Broncos in Week 3, marking the second-highest total in NFL history and the highest mark since 1966.

  • The offense crashed back down to earth with a resounding thud in Week 4, suffering their first loss of the season to the Bills.

  • The offense as a whole was held stagnate but rookie De’Von Achane made his presence felt in the first quarter, rushing for two touchdowns on the team’s first two drives.

  • The Dolphins rookie ended with 101 yards rushing, needing just eight attempts to do so (12.6 YPC). Achane also added 19 receiving yards on three receptions as the team’s clear top running back.

  • Mostert was quickly moved behind Achane on the depth chart despite both running backs having historic performances in Week 3.

  • Week 4 yielded minimal opportunity and menial statistics for the veteran running back. Mostert had just nine yards on seven carries, catching three of five targets for 36 yards.

  • Braxton Berrios surprisingly had the team’s only receiving touchdown.

Minnesota Vikings: Skol City Scores First Win of Season

  • The Vikings improve to 1-3 after tallying their first win of the 2023 season against the Panthers in Week 4.

  • Justin Jefferson is pacing to set the single-season receiving yards record, continuing his league-wide dominance with six receptions for 85 yards and two touchdowns in Week 4.

  • Jordan Addison disappointed with a forgettable outing, catching zero passes with only one target.

  • Cam Akers suited up for his first game as a Viking but was well behind Alexander Mattison in the pecking order.

  • Akers tallied 40 yards on five carries, catching both of his targets for an additional 11 yards.

  • Mattison, on the other hand, handled 17 carries for 95 yards, catching his lone target for an additional three yards receiving.

New England Patriots: Jonesin’ for a Change

  • The Patriots' offense was a disaster in Week 4, scoring just three total points against a strong Cowboys defense.

  • Mac Jones was eventually benched for second-year quarterback Bailey Zappe with head coach Bill Belichick citing Jones’ poor performance as the reason behind the decision.

New Orleans Saints: Carr Crashes Offense

  • Derek Carr was forced out of the Saints Week 3 loss to the Packers after a forceful hit. Carr was expected to miss multiple weeks with said injury but made a surprising start for the Saints in Week 4.

  • Carr showed all the signs of his ailment, competing 23/27 pass attempts for just 127 yards while most of his targets were behind the line of scrimmage.

  • Alvin Kamara made his return from suspension, handling a full workload as the Saints RB1.

  • Kamara caught 13 of 14 targets for just 33 yards, marking the lowest total of receiving yards by a player with 10 or more receptions in NFL history.

  • The only other members of the Saints with more than one reception were Michael Thomas (4 Receptions/53 Yards) and Rashid Shaheed (3 Receptions/33 Yards).

  • Chris Olave caught just one of his five targets for four yards.

New York Giants: Dropping Dimes

  • Daniel Jones threw a game-sealing 97-yard pick six in the Giants disastrous loss to the Seahawks on Monday Night Football.

  • In 2023 Jones ranks 30th in YPA (6.0) 32nd in TD Rate (1.8%) 33rd in TD:INT Ratio(2:4) and 30th in EPA/ATT (-0.24).

  • Life without Saquon Barkley has been rough for the Giants.

  • Darren Waller continues to disappoint in his pseudo WR1 role.

  • Wan’Dale Robinson is, however, coming into his own as a useful gadget/utility player for the team, securing five of six receptions for 40 yards with one carry for seven yards.

New York Jets: Surprisingly Competent

  • Zach Wilson was surprisingly competent in Week 4, nearly leading the Jets to a shocking victory in a competitive contest against the Chiefs.

  • Wilson completed 28/39 attempts for 245 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

  • Breece Hall's opportunity share continues to slowly increase as the team monitors his snap count. Hall led the team in rush attempts (6) and rushing yards (56) in Week 4.

  • Garrett Wilson saw a team-high 14 targets, catching nine for 60 yards.

  • Allen Lazard hauled in his first touchdown of the season, finishing with three receptions on three targets for 61 yards and one touchdown.

Philadelphia Eagles: Excellence in Extra Frames

  • The Eagles needed extra time to close out the game against the Commanders but looked excellent doing so.

  • The defensive struggles have kept games closer than necessary for Jalen Hurts and the offense this season. Fortunately, the offense has had no issues carrying the weight.

  • Jalen Hurts tossed for 319 yards and two touchdowns in Week 4.

  • D’Andre Swift continued his run as the top back, tallying 56 rushing yards on 14 carries with one touchdown while catching all four of his targets for 23 yards.

  • A.J. Brown stood tall as the team’s leading wideout, turning his team-high 13 targets into 9 receptions for 175 yards and two scores.

  • DeVonta Smith has taken a bit of a back seat to Brown over the last two weeks but still had a serviceable outing with seven receptions on nine targets for 78 yards.

Pittsburgh Steelers: OH, CANADA!

  • Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada is being lambasted in the media as one of the most unqualified and ineffective coaches in the NFL today.

  • 55.4% of the Steelers' total possessions this season have resulted in a three-and-out.

  • Kenny Pickett suffered a significant knee injury with the silver lining of a nonseason-ending designation.

San Francisco 49ers: Bay Area Beatdown

  • After four weeks of action, the 49ers appear to be the most well-rounded and dominant team in the NFL.

  • The 49ers are one of just two teams in the NFL that remain undefeated, joining their cross-country rival Eagles as the only 4-0 squads.

  • They are allowing just 14.5 points and 301.3 total yards per game on defense (both ranked top 3) while putting up 31.3 points and 407.8 yards per game on offense (both ranked top 3).

  • The 49ers 35-16 victory over the Giants extends the 49ers regular season winning streak to 14 games and Brock Purdy’s regular season winning streak to 10 games.

  • Brandon Aiyuk immediately established himself as the top wideout for the 49ers once again, collecting six of six targets for 148 yards.

  • Christian McCaffrey put on a show, scoring three first-half touchdowns in the 49ers' beatdown of the Cardinals. McCaffrey finished with 106 rushing yards on 20 carries, three rushing touchdowns, 71 receiving yards on seven receptions, and one touchdown while leading the team in targets (8).

Seattle Seahawks: Secondary Comes First

  • The Seahawks secondary was in full force ball in Week 4, forcing two interceptions on Daniel Jones while holding the Giants quarterback to just 203 passing yards with one strip sack fumble as well.

  • Rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon sealed the win for the Seahawks with a 97-yard interception return for six points.

  • Geno Smith exited briefly, giving fans a quick look at Drew Lock before the aforementioned Smith reentered the contest.

  • Kenneth Walker has a firm grip on the RB1 role for the offense, leaving Zach Charbonnet droppable in most season-long fantasy formats save for the rosters with enough depth to stash the rookie handcuff.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Playmaker Baker

  • Baker Mayfield carved up the Saints' defense, throwing for 246 yards and three touchdowns on 25/32 pass attempts while adding 31 rushing yards on eight carries.

  • Rachaad White continues to disappoint with his efficiency despite an unwavering handle on the top running back spot for the Buccaneers.

  • Chris Godwin bounced back in a big way while Mike Evans received his usual shadow coverage from Marshon Lattimore.

  • Godwin caught eight of his team-high 11 targets for 114 yards.

  • Evans once again lost the ongoing battle with his arch nemesis as Lattimore held the Buccaneers wideout to just three receptions for 40 yards.

Tennessee Titans: The King Cometh

  • Derrick Henry is not quite ready to relinquish his throne despite three consecutive mediocre outings from Week 1 through Week 3.

  • Week 4 presented a much more positive outlook for the veteran running back as King Henry posted 122 rushing yards on 22 attempts (5.5 YPC) with one rushing touchdown while throwing for the second passing touchdown of his career on a trick play inside the five-yard line.

Washington Commanders: Fail to The Commanders

  • Sam Howell returned to his average normal after imploding against a strong Bills defense the week prior.

  • Howell completed 29/41 attempts for 290 yards with one touchdown, absorbing five sacks as the Commanders' offensive line had their hands full with a terrifying Eagles’ defensive front.

  • Jahan Dotson found the end zone in what has been a disappointingly slow start to the second-year wideouts 2023 campaign. Dotson hauled in just four of his nine targets for 27 yards and the aforementioned score.

  • Curtis Samuel had a big game, finding the endzone with a rushing touchdown while also catching seven of eight targets for 51 yards.

  • Antonio Gibson fumbled again. Gibson is averaging a fumble on 23.07% of his carries this season. His role moving forward may be non-existent.
