Waiver Wire Targets: Week 13

Heading into Week 13, we have another enticing list of players available on the waiver wire. So, let’s jump right into it!

I would like to add a disclaimer here that FAAB recommendations vary widely from league to league, roster construction, available players, etc. While I try to give a roundabout number to bid on these players, you know your leagues better than I do, so you should ultimately bid the amount that you feel is right. There is also a big difference between leagues with minimum $0 bids and minimum $1 bids that could adjust the bid amount, as well.

If you want more waiver wire help, you should join patreon.com/brotofantasy for the waiver wire podcast that dives deeper into available players not mentioned in this article, as well as QB and DEF streamers of the week. You can also join the discord and ask me more direct waiver questions with info about your league so that I can give you the most informed advice that I can. Hope to see you there!

*Players listed in order of FAAB Recommendation

**Roster percentage based on Yahoo

Rashee Rice (KC WR)

Roster Percentage: 68%

FAAB Recommendation: 80%

The breakout game finally came for Rice. If he can be the alpha in the receiving room rest of season, he could be a big time asset.

Keaton Mitchell (BAL RB)

Roster Percentage: 62%

FAAB Recommendation: 50%

Keaton Mitchell continues to get more work in the Ravens backfield and continues to make big plays with his opportunities. Mitchell could be a big time contributor for the fantasy playoffs if his role continues to expand.

Pat Freiermuth (PIT TE)

Roster Percentage: 48%

FAAB Recommendation: 40%

How quickly things can change in a week. Without Matt Canada, the Steelers put together over 400 offensive yards, something they were unable to do even once with Canada at OC. The biggest beneficiary? The impressive young TE, Pat Freiermuth. Freiermuth has had a forgetful third season but he is finally healthy again and just put together a monster 9/120 game on 11 targets. He looks like a must add in the Steelers new look offense.

Brandin Cooks (DAL WR)

Roster Percentage: 56%

FAAB Recommendation: 20%

Brandin Cooks has quietly been a top 30 WR four of the last six weeks, aligning with Dak Prescott’s monster resurgence. Yes, Cooks still has a low floor, but he is putting up solid numbers and has found his way back into weekly WR3 consideration.

Isaiah Likely (BAL TE)

Roster Percentage: 52%

FAAB Recommendation: 10%

Likely put together a solid 4/40 line in his first game sans Mark Andrews. He commanded six targets and looked good in the TE1 role. He is not Mark Andrews by any means but his production in Week 12 is encouraging for his outlook after the Ravens bye week.

Greg Dortch (ARI WR)

Roster Percentage: 2%

FAAB Recommendation: 10%

Greg Dortch has now seen 17 targets over the last two weeks, scoring double digit fantasy points in each game. This has been in place of Michael Wilson, so if Wilson returns, Dortch becomes much more difficult to trust. If he does not though, Dortch could be a viable flex play once more.

Juwan Johnson (NO TE)

Roster Percentage: 9%

FAAB Recommendation: 5%

Juwan Johnson has been a huge let down this season due to injury and an overall lack of production, however, heading into Week 13 against the Lions, Johnson may just be forced into a significant role as Saints pass catchers continue to go down like flies. With Michael Thomas already out, Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed are both question marks now as well, as Olave suffered a concussion that knocked him out the game and Shaheed injuring his quad. A.T. Perry and Lynn Bowden could very well be leading the Saints receiver room in Week 13, meaning Juwan Johnson could very well be the de facto #1 WR. Johnson went 4/45 on 7 targets in Week 12, which makes him a streamable, albeit risky, option in Week 13.

D’Ernest Johnson (JAX RB)

Roster Percentage: 1%

FAAB Recommendation: 2%

Johnson has taken over the backup RB role in Jacksonville. If Etienne were to get banged up, Johnson would be a huge waiver wire target. Add him to your bench as a handcuff before that happens, if you have the space.
