Waiver Wire Targets: Week 12

Heading into Week 12, we have another enticing list of players available on the waiver wire. So, let’s jump right into it!

I would like to add a disclaimer here that FAAB recommendations vary widely from league to league, roster construction, available players, etc. While I try to give a roundabout number to bid on these players, you know your leagues better than I do, so you should ultimately bid the amount that you feel is right. There is also a big difference between leagues with minimum $0 bids and minimum $1 bids that could adjust the bid amount, as well.

If you want more waiver wire help, you should join patreon.com/brotofantasy for the waiver wire podcast that dives deeper into available players not mentioned in this article, as well as QB and DEF streamers of the week. You can also join the discord and ask me more direct waiver questions with info about your league so that I can give you the most informed advice that I can. Hope to see you there!

*Players listed in order of FAAB Recommendation

**Roster percentage based on Yahoo

Zach Charbonnet (SEA RB)

Roster Percentage: 45%

FAAB Recommendation: 100%

If you held all of your FAAB money for a big drop on an impact player, now is the time. With Ken Walker dealing with an oblique injury and an undetermined timeline, it looks as though rookie Zach Charbonnet is set to handle a massive workload for at least the next week or two. Yes, the Seahawks schedule is tough on RBs, however, we are talking about a good, young RB, with high end volume. No brainer add if available in your league still.

Jayden Reed (GB WR)

Roster Percentage: 36%

FAAB Recommendation: 25%

Jayden Reed just keeps finding a way to finish within the top 30 or so WRs. I really liked him as a streaming option this week against LAC and he delivered in a big way, totaling 46 rushing yards, a rushing TD, four receptions and 46 receiving yards. That is now three of the last four games for Reed surpassing double digit fantasy points. He gets another strong matchup against Detroit this coming week, which puts him right in the middle of WR3 consideration and yet, he is still available in many leagues.

Odell Beckham Jr. (BAL WR)

Roster Percentage: 30%

FAAB Recommendation: 20%

Don’t look now but OBJ stock is on the rise. OBJ has now put together three straight double digit fantasy performances, while totaling seven targets in two of the last three weeks. He has been making big plays for Baltimore and is getting more involved in the offense. With Mark Andrews now out the season, as long as OBJ’s shoulder is okay, we could be looking at a respectable WR3 moving forward.

Isaiah Likely (BAL TE)

Roster Percentage: 4%

FAAB Recommendation: 15-20%

With Mark Andrews out the rest of the fantasy season, Isaiah Likely finds himself back in weekly starting consideration. Likely has shown some big time flashes in opportunities without Andrews but has also fell short on several occurrences as well, including Week 1, in which he caught just one ball for four yards. If you lost Mark Andrews, there is unfortunately no way to replace him. Likely falls right into the Logan Thomas, Cole Kmet, etc. bucket of low end TE1s that you hope can have a big day from week to week.

Justin Watson (KC WR)

Roster Percentage: 0%

FAAB Recommendation: 15-20%

Justin Watson is a journeyman receiver who has already set career highs in receptions and receiving yards this season at just 19 receptions and 329 receiving yards. It is tough to get excited for a WR like that but the Chiefs WR room is so abhorrent that Watson saw 11 targets against the Eagles Monday night. 11 targets from Patrick Mahomes is absolutely something worth chasing. The issue is that Watson had issues himself in this game, including dropping a catchable ball on fourth down to end the game. No Chiefs WR looks like a passable NFL WR but there is no turning back now. At the very least, Watson looks to be on top of the pack.

Demario Douglas (NE WR)

Roster Percentage: 33%

FAAB Recommendation: 15-20%

Demario Douglas is a weekly stalwart in this article and is going to continue to be until he finally gets added in more leagues. He has a tremendous three game stretch coming up against the Giants, Chargers and Steelers and continues to pace New England pass catching options while putting up respectable PPR performances. Douglas is an easy add.

Ty Chandler (MIN RB)

Roster Percentage: 44%

FAAB Recommendation: 10-20%

Ty Chandler played behind Alexander Mattison on Sunday Night but man did he show off some juice in that game. Chandler surpassed 100 yards in the game, totaling 73 rushing yards on just 10 carries and 37 receiving yards, corralling all four targets. He is certainly someone to keep an eye on and add to your bench if still available.

Zay Jones (JAX WR)

Roster Percentage: 18%

FAAB Recommendation: 10%

Zay Jones had a forgetful return to action, catching just four balls for 20 yards, but once again the Jacksonville offense just looked lightyears better with him on the field. Jones has the ability to catch a TD any week and should be rostered in more than 18% of leagues.
