Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State (Sophomore)

Another week, another son of an NFL legend balling out at the collegiate level. Taking on Arkansas State this past weekend, the Buckeye’s took care of business in a blowout, largely thanks to their star wide receiver. After the loss of Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the season opener against Notre Dame, Ohio State turned to the son of Indianapolis Colts legend Marvin Harrison to lead the charge, and he delivered.

Harrison Jr. got off to a fast start, hauling in a 42-yard touchdown to open the scoring on the Buckeye’s initial offensive possession. He proceeded to catch another two TDs, one in the second quarter and his final in the third before resting for the fourth. In addition, Harrison Jr. tallied 184 yards on 7 receptions for a whopping 26.3 average yards per catch. Look for the young Buckeye to continue his dominance while leading the way at the position. Even when Smith-Njigba returns Harrison Jr. should continue to have value.

Evan Hull, RB, Northwestern (Junior)

Despite a disappointing loss to Duke in Week 2, the Northwestern Wildcats fans were treated to an explosion in the form of Junior RB Evan Hull. However, it wasn’t the type of performance you might expect from a running back, as Hull only tallied 65 yards and a score on his 17 rushes, at an average of under 4 YPC. Instead, it was the receiving display put on by the junior back that had fans salivating.

Hull’s calling card has always been his skills as a receiver out of the backfield, and his performance over the weekend put any doubt of that to bed. The Wildcat’s rusher hauled in a whopping 14 passes for a staggering 213 yards and a score, dominating both out of the backfield and split out wide. While his career-best game as a receiver might just be a flash in the pan, his skills displayed in the past show a back with the talent to stick on an NFL roster, with the size and ability to make waves as a third-down back.

Nick Singleton, RB, Penn State (Freshman)

Saquon Barkley, anyone? The last time the Nittany Lions had a running back take over a game was when the now-Giants rusher was tearing up the field. Well, now the team can once again say that they have that in Freshman Nick Singleton. After a slow start to the season against Purdue in Week 1, Singleton showed why he was the top ranked running back in the 2022 recruiting class while taking on the Ohio Bobcats.

On just 10 carries for the day, Singleton exploded for 179 yards and a TDs. The Freshman took off late in the first quarter on Penn States second drive, scooting past defenders for a 70-yard house call. He followed this explosive run up in the third with a 44-yard scamper for his second score of the night. This was a phenomenal game for the first-year rusher, and excitement is high for the young back as he looks for an encore in his Week 3 showdown with 2-0 Auburn.

Caleb Williams, QB, USC (Sophomore)

CBS Sports

Caleb Williams entry into the transfer portal was the biggest storyline this past spring, as the then-freshman quarterback had been a dominant force for the Sooners as one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks at the collegiate level. Williams eventually made the decision to follow Lincoln Riley, Oklahoma’s head coach in 2021, to the USC Trojans, and thus far the decision has paid off nicely.

After a strong showing against Rice in Week 1, Williams again displayed his arm talent in a matchup with the Stanford Cardinals over the weekend. Going 20/27 for 341 yards and four scores, Williams led the Trojans to another dominant victory, vaulting USC to 7th in the AP Top 25 rankings. The superstar quarterback is already the top talent at the position for the 2024 draft class, and so as long as he can continue to string together strong performances, he should remain as one of the best quarterback prospects in the next few seasons.

Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah (Senior)

As the Utes entered their contest against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds over the weekend, nobody expected it to be close. However, nobody could have predicted the absolute blowout that would take place on the field, with Utah claiming a 73-7 victory over their in-state foe. While the entire team was functioning like a well-oiled machine, it was TE Dalton Kincaid who stole the show just before halftime.

In the waning minutes of the second quarter, Kincaid found himself the recipient of a dart in the middle of the field and proceeded to turn the corner on the defensive back and walk in to the end zone for his first TD of the game. Less than a minute later, after the defense forced a punt, Kincaid hauled in another touchdown, bringing the halftime score to 45-7. In total, the senior compiled 107 yards on seven receptions along with the two scores, leading Utah in all three categories. He should find his place on an NFL roster at some point, and his silky-smooth receiving skills could help him find a fantasy-relevant role at the next level.
